Of
Yester Year
6/17/00
Of tales of yester year we have all heard of Knights, dragons,
Princesses fair, Kings, Queens, Magicians, and evil sorcerers.
Of Kingdoms long since gone.
Of ages when all manner of things were
possible and nothing was impossible.
In tales of yesteryear it was told of Knights that
would slay dragons to save a fair Princess.
Of kingdoms won and lost.
Of Kings that ruled justly and of
course of Kings that where unjust.
Of magicians and sorcerers that
would do battle with magic spells.
But one tale of yesteryear stands alone and by itsself.
Of a Knight so pure and strong of heart.
That did wander across the realm.
Blinded by a sorcerers evil spell.
Cursed if you will to never see a bird fly.
Never to gaze upon the countenance of his Lady fair.
Cursed to search the realm for one that could lift the spell.
A most powerful magician he does seek.
Though the Knightcould not see with his
eyes, still he could see with his heart.
Though blind, he did go to where his heart did leed.
All the while the Knightdid travel.
So too did his Lady fair.
On chance their paths did cross, but neither did know.
So it is that still today the Knight searches for his
magician, and the lady searches for her Knight.
Into the Night
12/15/00
Into the night thy Knight did ride.
With haste did he go.
There in the dark he did find a glen.
Across the glen a fire did glow.
This brave Knight could barely discreen
a figure sitting in the fires glow.
His gaze did wander to the sky.
Nary a star did he see, the moon had long set.
A soft, yet strong voice called out to him in the night.
He wondered how this could be so.
For he had not moved since coming into the glen.
Come brave Knight, warm thy self by my fire,
and tell me your tales, the voice did say.
But still thy Knight moved not.
It was as if he were rooted to the spot whence he stood.
Dragon Flight
1/31/01
On gaint leathery wings, the dragon Garleth takes flight.
While upon his shoulders a pale rider does dit.
For Garleth is the largest dragon in all of Dragonscape.
For the pale rider on his shoulders is the Lord of Dragonscape.
With every beat of mighty Garleth's wings he reaches higher in the sky.
The smaller dragons follow in his wake.
Soon mountains start to loom afore him.
With a single beat of mighty Garleth's wings he clears the highest peak.
Onward the mighty dragon, Garleth does fly, in pursuit of the evening sky.
What Phantom
2/2/01
What Phantom does ride in the night?
In armor shining of rightousness glory.
Sir Lonely, the White Knight, does travel forth.
In search of the Phantom of the night.
This Phantom, where does he lie?
In the depth of dark forest, or in
the silent nights death does he lie?
Changing heavens partial cries?
Does this ghost on eerie wings forever fly.
To deny this crusader's right.
Thy White Knight cries out in the night,
"Arise my valiant sword!"
Carve in each heart my soul and word.
That all whom hath heard Sir Lonely's words.
May start upon that journey where the Phantom does part.
This Morn
2/2/01
Arise this morn Sir Lonely.
Take up thy sword and lance.
To ride upon thy mighty charger's back.
To search through out the valley for an old mage's wisdom.
The friend of Uther Pendragon do thee seek.
In misty forest glen of early morning light Merlin sits.
While next to him cast in stone, the mighty Excalibur stands.
But this Knight searches not for Excalibur.
But Merlin is whom he doth seek.
Whose very wisdom is beyond mortal times.
Sir Lonely asks but one question of Merlin.
Whence hath the dragons fled?
Merlin speaks but Sir Lonely understands not.
For in an old forgotten tongue the mage does speak.
Till he spies upon Sir Lonely's face bewilderment at his words.
Then Merlin does say in a tongue that is right.
The dragons have fled this land and time.
Put down thy lance and sword Sir Lonely for no battle hath thee this day.
A Knight's Passion
2/17/01
When in the course of a day,
A Knight's passion does arise.
While searching out those in need.
He too is in need.
To have passions fire quenched by his Lady Love.
When hence he returns at night
to his Lady Love, passions fire will be quenched.
Passions fire stoked through out the day.
Raging like a primevil forest fire.
He knows that soon the fire will overwhelm,
the glowing warmth that he feels.
Tis not an easy task to put afore his Lady Love.
This fire will not be easy to put out.
Ladyshadow
2/23/01
He searches through out the realm,
while flying on dragon's wings.
He knows that somewhere she is at, his Ladyshadow.
With a bestial bellow of protest, his mount flies on.
All to soon the Heaven above begins to change color.
Going from a symphony of blues to a multitude of crinsom hues.
Poor Knight, he knows that the night is coming
and his dragon must eat and so to must he.
Without further haste he bids his dragon
leave to land in yon wooded clearing.
Sitting by evening fire lights glow,
he hears his dragon foraging in the woods nearby.
As he sits and warms himself by the fire,
he prepares his meager meal.
Thinking, always thinking, he knows that she is there someplace,
but yet her where abouts remain unknown.
Though in his heart, this gallant dragon riding Knight, does know
that his Ladyshadow will be found.
